separating children versus more mature content

I want to start a blog on my journey to a new place and call it granpas journey. My new place will be Bruny Island Tasmania lots of seals whales birds fishing etc.
I want to have some of that content available for my young grandkids (2ysrs to 7yrs) and some of it not. For example I am 69 so talking about this being the last stages of my journey and other more mature stuff, death etc I dont want the grandkids to see till they are older. Any suggestions. I had one though to have two blogs with slightly different names. All the content from the kids suitable blog to go to the other but not the other way. Can material be posted to two blogs simultaneously. Thanks for any help

  • There are various ways to do this.

For example, you could make the “kid-unfriendly” password protected. Or, as you suggest, have two different blogs. But, in that case, you can not have content (that is kid-friendly) published on both blogs at the same time.

Thanks for that. I wont password protect as I want both lots of content public. And since as you say you cant have the same content live on two blogs then I will have to think creatively around how i do that. Paddy

  • Just to make sure: you can password protect specific blog posts. So some posts will be available for everyone, others will be locked with a password. I didn’t mean to imply that it would lock your entire blog/site.
