I am currently managing several sites. I want to give away one of them to another administrator. Does anybody know how to transfer ownership of one blog site while keeping control of the others?

    Thanks,

    Eric

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes. Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and their associated email address.

The blog’s owner must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them, or to transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account, or to use the lost password link, or the account recovery form, or to delete site content, or to delete the site itself.

I am trying to transfer 2 blogs to another user. The one with the generic WP address transferred just fine, but the other one with a purchased domain name won’t budge.

pdatucson.org is the one that won’t transfer.

    tucsonforbernie.wordpress.com did transfer.

    @p2hannley
pdatucson.org is set as the primary domain for pdatucson.wordpress.com and will appear in the address bar when you visit the site.
Does this WHOIS help determine who registered the blog under which username account and purchased the upgrade?

    That was me answering.
    (p2hannley)

I created the pdatucson2015 account in order to have an account to transfer to.

No. I can’t figure out why I can’t switch the blog from p2hannley to pdatucson2015.

Hi @icomnatistethics, usually it happens automatically as a part of this process, but basically you’ll want to contact us from the account that owns the upgrade now. You’ll want to request that we transfer the blog and the domain to another user — and specify that users name. After we’ve confirmed, we’ll take care of it for you.

    Hi,
I created the pdatucson.org blog under my account (p2hannley). I want to transfer it to pdatucson2015. This is a blog for an organization. The head of the organization is Phil Lopes.

The other blogs on my account– tucson-progressive.com and arizonapublicbanking.org– remain under the p2hannley account.

    Thanks for you help.

@p2hannley – I’ve contacted you via ticket. Are you at all related to the original poster?

And @icomnatistethics , are you all set?

I am not related to @icomnatistethics.

I am ready to have pdatucson.org (pdatucson.wordpress.com) moved to the pdatucson2015 account. Thanks.

Thanks Supervonia for your solution. I’m going to try it over the weekend. In the meantime, I’ll confirm the user that will be taking over the account.

    Much appreciated,

    Eric (@icomnatistethics)

Okay, I’ll close this thread out, but when you’re ready, you can use this process or email us from the account that gets billing notices. Cheers!
