Sequencing of pages

    SHEESH [she said blushing] so that’s what that phrase meant. I thought it was referring to the correct functioning of the assignment of which page was the blog’s “frontpage” and which was the “posts page”. In fact I scratched my head when I saw it and thought …”hmmm… I didn’t know this was theme dependent *shrug* oh well.” Now I’ll have to throw away the yellow sticky reminder note I put on the wall about this. *lol*

    OK. So you guys got me thinking that maybe I had a Blix dependent error, so I systematically went through the themes — and most of them put the space into the top menu bar — just like Blix with IE… so the ONLY theme that removes this space (by using the parent/child method) is BLIX!

    Now you know! Even regulus… so go figure.

    I was so sad about losing my SIDE BAR WIDGET that I played around and saw the obvious solution — remove the widget and instead drag up Links into the side bar – then edit the links to make your own menu.

    OK, you cannot have the tree structure, but, hey, it’s better than an icon slap in the middle of a menu link!

    Hope this is useful to anyone at anytime etc. Everyone here is doing a great job, it is much appreciated. Really.

    @dcdevine:
    I also use Firefox so I didn’t know about the IE problem. I’ll check it out and then try the “parent-child” solution. Thanks!

    @urip – you’re using the Cutline theme, right?
    @hiarth – you’re using the Ambiru theme, right? You just forgot to tell us that.

    The answer to you both is that these functions are theme dependent and some themes do not support these functions. The staff do read these threads so they will take note of your desire to have these functions work in the themes you are using.
