Serious image issues after import

3 days back I started lenspeople.com after domain mapping and importing my self-hosted blog. After the successful import, I see many images issues like:
1. Images not opening in most of the posts.
2. Homepage is showing some posts with featured image from other/unrelated posts.
3. Homepage is not showing featured image of some posts.
I initially took it lightly but 3 days have passed and problem still persists. I don’t know how to restore images and editing each post will take a lot of time. Please help.

Could you please show us a post or page with images missing? I have your homepage open and everything seems to load fine for me.

Header is showing the featured image of the post but there aren’t any images showing up in post.

Hmmm yeah, it looks like those images are missing for some reason. I take it you have already followed the steps outlined here for importing a self hosted (WordPress.org) blog?

If so, it looks like this is a problem that requires the attention of WordPress.com staff.

Thanx. I followed the transfer/importing steps well as I’ve done it before with no problem.
Those images are there in media library. They start showing in posts when I click the broken image link to edit (while editing/updating posts) and make them ‘media link’. This way I have restored images of many posts but more than 50 posts are still there with broken images.
In my self-hosted blog, all these images were already set as ‘media link’. The problem didn’t occur with latest 5 posts (out of almost 100 posts).

It looks like the image source URLs are still being pointed back to the self-hosted file path even though the images have been imported into your WordPress.com site. We’re in the process of updating the source URLs so the images appear correctly. I’ll let you know when this is finished!

@lensartblogs – This should be resolved now. Can you take a look and let me know if you notice any additional image issues?

Thanx Jeremy, I see that images have begun to appear in posts again.
There’s however one issue left. I see that media library is showing a very large number of images (more than 2000) ‘unattached’. These images are there in posts and they should not be ‘unattached’.
