    I work for a small church and we have been uploading our sermons to a WordPress blog for YEARS. Suddenly it says we are not allowed to upload audio with our free account without upgrading and paying. Why did this change and are there other options for a small non-profit?

    Hi there,

    According to our records your site used to have a 10GB space upgrade, which is what added extra media storage space to your site as well as the ability to upload audio.

    This upgrade was added by another admin on this site, which is why it is not visible within your account. Can you please have the other user listed here contact us directly so we can discuss restoring this upgrade? https://wordpress.com/people/team/tcpoc.wordpress.com

    Once the site is upgraded again, it will be possible to upload audio files again without issue.

    Our previous minister thought he was transferring our account over to me prior to his departure (retirement). He made me the editor with administrative rights and thought he had ended the other login. The upgrade may have been an annual renewal with a credit card that does not work (because he has left and his cc has been cancelled), but we do still want the upgrade that he had signed up for. How can I get this automatic renewal reinstated and get the old admin taken off? Can I just sign up for an upgrade now and will it be the same one we have had all along? And, can I just delete his log in without totally messing up our account?

    If possible, can you log in as that user and transfer ownership of the site to the proper account? Here’s how that’s done: https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

    Otherwise, yeah as long as you’re an admin on the site, you should be able to buy this particular upgrade. But it’s probably best to get site ownership and upgrade ownership under one account for less confusion.

    I do not find the 10GB upgrade @ $20/year that we had until June of this year when the renewal did not go through. How can I get this one renewed so that we can continue to upload our audio sermons to our blog? Thanks for your help.

    Hi @tcpoc once that upgrade expires you need our help to re-add it, which I have done.

    You can confirm here that the 10GB upgrade is back under your account temporarily: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

    Please note that in re-adding this to your account I have given you a few days (until 7/31) to pay for it’s renewal, which will finalize adding it to your account for the year. Note that this will become the new expiry date going forward, so you will want to be sure you renew before 7/31/2023, 7/31/2024, etc.
