Server connectivity errors & is there robots.txt file assoc. with or in my site?

  Google Webmaster Tools is saying “Googlebot couldn’t access your site because the request timed out or because your site is blocking Google.”

  We would like to be able to correct that. Is this an error that others are encountering?

  Also, we do not need a robots.txt file for larrysmusings (as we do not want to restrict access to any part of the site). Is there such a file on our site? Can we delete it? Thank you. larryzb

  This is the exact message from Google Webmaster Tools:

  Crawl postponed because robots.txt was inaccessible.

  Is there a way to make this robots.txt file “accessible” ?
