Server Maintenance
-
I was posting a post @ http://cpofficialblog.wordpress.com/ and it was soooooo…… slow
and I just got this messageServer Maintenance
Your server is going through a few minutes of routine maintenance. Please don’t touch your browser for a few minutes. What do I do?
If you were posting a comment or making a post on your blog then do not press BACK on your browser. Wait 5 minutes and press the refresh icon on your browser. Your comment or post will be sent as normal.
If you are browsing a blog here just wait a few moments and hit refresh. The page you were expecting will appear. Is this why It was slow?

And 500 error:
Whoops!
There was a small systems error. Please try refreshing the page and if the error is still there drop us a note and let us know. -

One of our datacenters experienced a complete network outage. This has taken about 200 servers offline. We are working to fix the problem ASAP.
-
Most things are back online. We are working on returning the last of the affected servers to service. You may still see some server maintenance pages here and there, but they should be getting smaller in number.
-
I had saved a post and reviewed it when the outage happened. However, when I went back to review the page just now, it reverted back to 30 minutes ago or so from a previous “save”…the final post is not published anymore, and some of the text is missing. Will this be resolved, or should I start reworking my post?
-
Is this why all my uploaded pics are showing with the red X, or do I have serious problems with the blog?

i’m not knocking wordpress.com, cuz for a free service it’s pretty good. for anyone interested, here’s a writeup of what the downtime has been like for me, from 11:30pm til almost 12:20am.

There are still about 50 servers which are partially offline. Unfortunately, some of these are pretty important database servers. We are working on moving some things around to get things back to normal ASAP. The majority of the server maintenance messages should be gone now, but some of you may experience some oddities until everything is back to normal.
