Server not found – What is wrong?
-
Hi!
My blog is down, and can’t be accessed through implodingfictions.com or implodingfictions.wordpress.com. I only get an error message saying “Problem loading page – server not found” either way.
I thought for a while it was because my payment for the Domain Mapping hadn’t gone through, but now my internet banking says it went trough two days ago (5th May). I still get the same error message. Can you please help me?
Thanks, Oystein

My blog is down, and can’t be accessed through implodingfictions.com or implodingfictions.wordpress.com.
https://implodingfictions.wordpress.com/ is alive & well.
For http://implodingfictions.com/ you need purchase the domain maping upgrade and change the “nameservers”:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#instructions-for-mapping-an-existing-domain -
It looks like you have domain mapping for /implodingfictions.com/ – but your name servers are not set to WordPress.COM
-
Like galois and auxclass mentioned, your mapping is all set on the WordPress.com side, but your domain’s name servers aren’t pointing to WordPress.com. You can view the current name servers on this page:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-helper/?host=implodingfictions.com
You’ll need to update the name servers with the registrar where you purchased the domain. This article explains how:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
The name servers for WordPress.com are:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM NS2.WORDPRESS.COM NS3.WORDPRESS.COMIf you can’t find how to change them at your registrar’s settings, that support link includes an example email you can send to your registrar for assistance.
Once you have updated the name servers, it may take up to 72 hours for the domain to be pointed to your WordPress.com site.
Let me know if you hit any snags. :)
