Set a different email address for notifications re comments

    Hi

I made this site using my own WordPress account for a friend. It has now been mapped to her existing domain (cheamckd.com) and everything is running nicely, except one thing.

My friend wants to be certain that all comments on the blog page must be approved by her first before they show up on the site. However, as I made it with my account, all notifications come to my email address. I just cannot find a way to change this.

Could someone please help me as this is giving me a headache!?

    Many thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Every WordPress.COM blog has a sole owner and it is the person with the WordPress.COM username account who registered the blog under that username account and associated email address.

Below is what the blog’s owner must do to transfer the blog and upgrades to another WordPress.COM username account.

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog and purchased upgrades to renew them or transfer the blogs and the upgrades to another username account.

To transfer a blog from one username account A to another username account B you must first log in under the username account A that owns the blog you want to transfer to the other username account.

Then you add the other username account B as an Admin of the blog.
    adding users http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/
    user roles http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

Then you A can use this process to transfer the blog to that username account B instead http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
    Then see here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#transferring-upgrades

    Thank you for your reply.

One thing bothers me – what if I want to remain sole administrator of this site? I don’t want anyone else having the control because I will also be offering aftercare and maintenance services. I won’t be able to do that if others become administrators just so they can receive email notifications when comments require approval.

Is there any other solution to this?

    Thanks.

If a different account writes a Post they will also receive notice of the comments – so make sure the other account is down as the account that writes the Posts – you can change the account below the box where the text is written (way bottom of the page)

If my friend becomes an administrator as has been suggested, what about if I then transfer ownership to her and then reduce her access to contributor. Would that work?

Please, someone help me. This is so, so stupid. Why haven’t WordPress thought of this!!??

I have created this site: cheamckd.com using WP.com. It is not my site; I made it for a friend. I created the site using my own WordPress account.

All I want to do is make sure all notifications for comments be sent to her email address and not mine (stored in my WP account). Is that so hard? I do not want to change my stored email address because it’s my account. I also do not want to transfer ownership of the site to her because A) she’ll mess it up, and B) I am charging an aftercare service to maintain the site.

I mean, seriously. Why isn’t there just a box that says “email notifications to…” followed by a drop-down box to select an email address? I don’t want my friend as an administrator just to receive notifications.

    What can I do?
