Set a post as featured in Gutenberg editor
-
Hi there,
I’m trying to work out how to set an article as featured in the Gutenberg editor, but cannot see the option. I can see the option in the old editor. I honestly much prefer the Gutenberg editor, but the theme I am using looks through all featured articles to put it in the top bar. Am I missing something? Is there another way to do this?
Thanks,
Pierre -
Hi there,
I do not see any sites under your @pierrefouquet WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.
Is it possible you created your site under a different login? Is it the case that you are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?
Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

Hi there,
Yes, the site is hosted under Ionos, and is http://www.scrncheat.com.
It is under this login, but isn’t hosted by WordPress.
Thanks,
Pierre

Hello Pierre,
It looks like this site is a self-hosted WordPress site, which is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
You would need to reach out to your theme/plugin developers or the hosting provider for further assistance.
Setting a featured article is usually a theme trait, rather than an editor trait: http://www.acosmin.com/theme/justwrite/
I hope this helps.
