Set Categories Automatically based on Content

    Hi –
    I have an ifttt.com recipe set to post any blog that I post to my pinterest, facebook or other blogs as well as some posts from my favorite blogs. They are different categories like cricket, technology, movies, app reviews so on..

    Is there a way, based on the tags (Tags contain the websites from which the post was made). Once that is done (i.e, categories are assigned properly, I would be creating the category pages so that the correct articles go into correct pages..

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Automation on the WordPress side of this process is not possible for categories and tags.

    Categories are your site’s table of contents and tags are the index words, navigation points for users to access and find related content. These are assigned manually by you when you create a post.

    For social media tools that generate posts on WordPress, you would have to ask in their support forums how to get help so the content goes to the right category on your site.

    There are many IFTTT articles and resources to help you automate WordPress-related tasks that might help.
