Set classic editor as a default
-
I’ve been looking at the new strange editor, it is hard to understand and use, I’ve given up, very very annoying. Well, despite I’m allowed to use the classic editor looking for the link every time my questions is: “is there any way to set the old, reliable and beloved classic editor as a default for the blog I’ve selected for this message and also for all the blogs I’ve and the new ones I could create in the future?”
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi @celleradocse,
You can check out the steps to switch to the Classic Editor under the FAQ ‘Will I still be able to use the old editor?’ at this link: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/#frequently-asked-questions

Thank you for the info, really, but this is not what I was asking for, I wasn’t talking about a classic block into the new blocks system nightmare, I was asking about keeping the classic editor as it has been for years.

If you’re in the admin section, go to your posts. There’s the “add new” button above your list and it does have the option (at least for now) to select the classic editor instead. It comes up https://%5Byoursite%5D.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php?classic-editor

Thanks, I’ve located it and also there’s a link in every post to edit them with the classic editor.
I find this tactic to force progressively the users to use the block nightmare quite annoying.
I don’t doubt that professional people will find it marvellous, but guess I can assure that private users for their private pages and/or blogs want a simple easy to use editor like the wordpress classic editor is.

There are themes that actually might benefit from the blocks, but I’m not using one of them. So the admit classic editor is just easier for me to use.
