Set page default template
-
I am using WordPress.com to create a webpage so most of the content is pages. I want to have the sidebar menu available at all times. I am using the Twenty Eleven theme and generally I remember to change the page template to the sidebar option, but I have forgotten on occasion. It’s easy enough to fix, but is there anyway I can make this the default so that when I open up the website to a few others to edit that this isn’t overlooked (they have no experience with WordPress so I am trying to make it as easy as possible for them)? I can’t seem to find anything in the settings, but I may be overlooking an option.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

No, there is no “default” setting, but typically I would think that it should default to showing the sidebar unless you specifically select the no sidebar template. Is what you are saying is it does NOT work that way?
-
Correct. When I create a page, the default is set to ‘default’ which is a plain page – no sidebar or anything. I have the option to change it to Sidebar or Showcase template.

Ah, then that is sort of backwards from other themes where you have to choose to NOT have a sidebar.
2011/Duster are strange themes.

Hmm frustrating. Is there a place to report change requests and bugs (also think I discovered a bug in the form creation for Twenty Eleven)?
