set privacy until site was ready not can't get on google again

OK i got by blog/slash up and added it to google for indexing and it was there all was go but i had to set the settings to privacy until committee approved site and well now that is it all i set setting back to allow and now can not get not get it back on google something about robot.txt i can not get it worked out please help …………………

Hi there .tks timethief for your quick response…that is the problem i set the site to private and then once it was ready to go i set it back to allow search engines to index site…but when i googled it no result so i went into google webmaster tools and tested it and no go so where did i go wrong and i am sure that it is something silly or overlooked in google web tools …do i need to generate a new meta tag from google to input into the wordpress blog i did allot of reading and i am sure it is a mundane thing ..again tks for help

Well, as far as Google is concerned your site is brand new.
Wait, blog more, and Google and other search engines will eventually index your site. It can be almost instant, or it can take up to six weeks.

OK FK FK FK… i have been reading for 2 days and not closer to a solution…….i made my wordpress.com added site to google all was good then i set privacy to site being private while i did all the stuff to it and got committee to agree on it then i went back in and set the settings back to allow search engines to index and it is not coming up and when i go to webmaster tools i can not figure out what the heck to do .i am sure it is simple but i can not get a clear answer anywhere ………………….:)

Please relax and know that Google will index your posts. You only have 4 posts and these are the 10 factors that expedite indexing of content by search engines. -

Ok thanks all for the replies I guess I was / am not understanding all the messages that i am getting from webmaster tools and that it had not come up in a google search… this is for our local bridge club and i just wanted to make sure all our little old ladies can find it on google by punching in lachute bridge..if you say there is no problem with it being indexed on google then i am sorry for taking up all of this time …

well here is another thing that has left me scratching my head….in google when i type in lachutebridge.wordpress.com
the search result i get is lachutebridge – Avoca Bar …….it is starting to appear to me that i am pretty stupid but i did not think that much where or what the heck is the – Avoca Bar coming from i have not got that listed anywhere on my blog

You have a small new site – no Google Juice as noted above – to get “lachute bridge” to show up you need to have Posts with that in the Posts – try having a Post each time you have a meeting or whatever – make sure you use “lachute bridge” and such in the Post –
Just searching on your name gives 1,250,000 hits – send a link to all your members and get them to subscribe to the blog to get the latest news
