Hi, I can see how to change landing page under settings,(want to change it to a new page with my books highlighted) but want to keep the blog going (currently under ‘home’) under the title “Blog Posts”.
    PLEASE help me do this!
Have been reading help posts till I’m blue, and not found this exact answer. Thanks!

    Hi Lizzi,

What you can do is create a page titled Home by going to Pages > Add new in your Dashboard. Once that is created, go to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard. Set your Front page to the page that you wanted, and set the Home page as your Posts page.

Let me know if you have any questions with this!

Ummm… I’d like to keep the existing posts on my ‘home’ page, and I suspect I’d lose the ones I have?
    Thanks!

I’m a bit confused. You said you wanted a landing page, but also want your posts on that landing page? You can keep your posts on your Home page by doing what I said above. Let me know if you have any questions with this!

I currently have a ‘home’ page with nearly 60 posts on it. This is currently my landing page. I want it to remain accessible, perhaps labeled as ‘Blog Posts’ on the header with the page labels, but no longer to be the landing page.
I also have many pages. I would like my ‘My Books and Awards’ page to become my landing page.
Can you please help me do this?
    thanks!

Yes, I understand this. Please follow the instructions I provided you above to do this.

so I won’t lose the posts I already have?
    just a bit paranoid…
Also, not quite sure on instructions: “What you can do is create a page titled Home by going to Pages > Add new in your Dashboard. Once that is created, go to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard. Set your Front page to the page that you wanted, and set the Home page as your Posts page.”
    1) The pages are already made. Does the same work? One is currently the landing page and is called Home (which I want to be called “Blog Posts” page). At Settings>Reading, can I set this page as my “Blog Posts” page and call it that there, or do I need to do it somewhere else?

    2) the page I want to become my Front page (which is also already made up), can I change it at same place?I saw where this could happen,
    3) the home didn’t come up as an option.. and I think ‘pages’ aren’t meant to be used for posts… so ?
    4) if I screw it up, can you guys recover what I’ve lost?
    thanks,
    L

Yes if you created it you don’t need to create a new one. You said you wanted it to be: My Books and Awards. If that’s already created, use that one. Make sure to also create one called Blog Posts.

    2) the page I want to become my Front page (which is also already made up), can I change it at same place?I saw where this could happen,

Go to Settings > Reading in your Dashboard and where it says Front page displays, select a static page and set your Front Page to: My Books and Awards.

Set your posts page to the Blog Posts page.

    3) the home didn’t come up as an option.. and I think ‘pages’ aren’t meant to be used for posts… so ?

If you don’t create a page called Home it won’t show up. Pages can be static. It doesn’t necessarily need to be used for posts.

    4) if I screw it up, can you guys recover what I’ve lost?

As long as you don’t delete anything, it’ll be fine.
