  • Hi there,

There is not a setting within the block to set a specific column width but it may be possible to do that by overriding the theme CSS that controls how tables are displayed. It’s not possible to add CSS code to free WordPress.com sites, but you do have that option under the Premium plan.

The premium plan will allow you to add CSS code to your site, including code to set specific table column widths.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.

So is it IMPOSSIBLE to have A DIFFERENT WIDTH for EACH column of the table in the free plan? E.g., in word the width can be automatically adjusted according to the amount of text.

If not, please, is the only option (to adjust it for a free plan), using columns, or gallery, or any other? Thanks!

  • No, it’s not possible to do that on the Free plan, and there aren’t any other workarounds. CSS is the only way.

Let me know if you have any other questions, and I’ll be happy to help.
