Set up 2 step authentication but back up codes will not generate

I need the same help, please. I’ve lost my backup codes and when I try to log in it keeps saying the verifcation codes produced from my google authentication app are invalid. Please help!

Did you previously delete the site from your Google Authenticator app?

Yes… we did. Thought we could just log it in again on the Google Authenticator App.

Yeah, the code is uniquely generated for a variety of factors both on our end and the app’s end. If you remove the app, you’ll lose part of those factors, and won’t be able to get back the same code structure.

I have sent an email with instructions to the address on the account.

I’m calling you an expert on this issue. Thanks for helping the others. I too am dealing with the same issue. It is regarding the following WordPress site: jonathanwmartinez.com

I had been using 2-step verification as a security method for my Google accounts and WordPress account. However I disabled it in my Google account associated with the above site for personal reasons. I did not disable it directly in WordPress security settings, thus like everyone else here…

Am locked out of my account. I am in the exact same situation as the above members.

Hi, I have the same issue. I reset my phone (for others problems) and when I reinstall Google Auth, the generated code are invalid on WP.
I can’t disable two-auth for same reason.

I have been locked out of my account. I have the correct password, but my phone was reset so I do not have the capability of accessing the codes need for the two step authentication.

I had to get a new account just to be able to submit the problem to this forum. The site that I am trying to restore is http://www.sterlingedwards.org.

Please help me to have access to the website at your earliest convenience.

Hi, I’m having the same issue as some of the members above. My phone got smashed and I had to replace it, so Google Authenticator had to be reinstalled.

Unfortunately I did not print my Backup Codes for may 2 step Authentication, and I’m now locked out of my blog.

I created this account so I could post here.
