  I am new to this. I chose a blog and downloaded a photo that was published without my intent, I then chose another blog which I prefer. It shows that I have used up much of my space and have nothing to show for it.

  Could you tell me more about the changes that you made above?

  Do you mean that you selected a different Theme (Appearance –> Themes) or you registered a new WordPress.com site?

  Before uploading any photos to your blog, make sure they are optimized for the web. That means they have to be reduced to 72dpi. If you do that, it will be YEARS before you use up your allotted space.
