Set Up Free Website NOT Blog

    I thought I was setting up a Free website but somehow it is a Blog instead. How do I change Free Blog to website so I can get right templates?

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    A blog and a website are the same thing :)

    A “blog” is just a website where the news feed/posts are primary, while on a more traditional website you use pages instead. There’s no setting on WordPress.com to change your site from the one to the other, and all the themes we have available is available to all sites, regardless of how you choose to set up the site.

    So to create a traditional website, go to Appearance ->Themes and select the theme you want.

    Create a home/front page if your theme doesn’t create one for you automatically, and set that as your homepage as explained here:

    And from there you can continue editing your front page content and add additional pages as you want.
