set up user accounts – odd situation

    I want characters in a comic strip to “write” blogs and I want each to show up in their own name. They do not have an email addresses as, of course, they do not exist.

    How can I set up user accounts without an email address or a wordpress.com account?

    OR how can the “By” name be changed…?

    Hi there, does your email provider support aliases? For example, with gmail if your address is

    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    Use this:

    (email visible only to moderators and staff)

    You can make that +whatever, +doesnotmatter — and make one for each character. Gmail will ignore the plus sign and anything after it. But we won’t, so it’s in effect a second email account that delivers to the same address. And you can set up as many as you need.

    Want to give that a try, and check with your mail provider to see if they offer that?
