setting a featured image for the blog main page of my website

  I already set featured images on the several pages of my website (About page, Contact page, etc). Now I want to do the same thing with the Blog page of my website. But I can’t.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You don’t need to set featured images in Pages except in certain rare themes. You set featured images in POSTS. Edit the post, select one image as featured, update.

  Thank you for your quick reply. I edited the POST. Then I selected one image as featured, and updated the post. This WORKED the first time, but after viewing my website the second time, the BLOG page had the DEFAULT image for that theme (Hemingway Rewritten), but not the featured image.

  And what is the URL of the specific post in question, and which image should be Featured.

  There is no “default image” for featured images as far as I’m aware. What is it a picture of? What does it look like?
