Setting Featured Image in Header
-
I’m using Twenty Eleven and have successfully set a custom image for my Home page and About page, but cannot get the Blog page to accept the featured image. It shows up on my dashboard but when I go to view the Blog page, it shows the image I’m using on my Home page.
Thank you for your help!

1) A featured image will show up when you view a single post or a regular static page. When you set a regular static page as your posts page, you no longer see that page: you’re just borrowing its title to create the link to your main posts page (what would normally be your blog front). To display a featured post, you must edit that page and select the showcase template. See here:

2) A featured image will only show up if it’s in the right dimensions (or larger). see here:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2011/10/21/on-the-recent-featured-image-issues/And please link to your blog when asking questions. Or, better, make your username link to your blog (Users > Personal Settings: scroll down to Account Details, paste blog URL in the Website field, click Save Changes).

Thank you! I will try this and see if I can make it work.
Apologies for not linking to my blog – tracyabell.com
When I signed in, it asked for my blog so I assumed that info would be included in my post. (never make assumptions…)I appreciate your time. Have a good one!

You’re welcome.
