Setting featured image just to create a thumbnail

  Hello,

  I’ve just worked out that creating a “featured image” acts as a thumbnail picture for post listings. This is fantastic news for me and am keen to set this up. however, i don’t want the image displayed in the post itself. Is there a way i can set the featured image but not have it displayed in the post?

  Why bother doing that at at all. If all you want is a thumbnail image in each post then create one offline using free image editing software and upload the thumbnails into the posts like I do here. http://thistimethisspace.com

  @TT: Hannah is asking the exact opposite.

  @Hannah: There are themes that have such an option, but BB doesn’t. You can’t get rid of the FI on the single post view except if you have the Custom Design upgrade.
