Setting featured image on blog

  Hi! I ran out of storage space for photos on my wordpress site. No problem – I started using flickr to host the photos instead, and this worked fine. However, now I am not able to set a ‘featured image’ for each blog post, except from among the photos I have already hosted on wordpress (ie. I cannot use any of the new, flickr-hosted photos as featured images). Is there a way to get around this without buying more storage?

  Hi there,

  To set an image as featured, it needs to be saved in your Media Library. There’s no way around this as this is how WordPress.com is designed.
