Setting homepage story length

  I’m currently displaying the full articles on my homepage. I’ve seen people with a shorter version of their stories on the homepage and a “read more” link. I can’t find it in my dashboard settings. Can someone let me know where to go to set this up?

  Hey there,
  To display the “read more” you can insert “the more tag” into your posts before you publish them.

  Another option is to use a theme that will display excerpts automatically.

  Thank you mindelson! I have added the <!–more–> tag to the posts I want truncated. Worked like a charm and it’s nice to have the option of where the read more link appears.
