Setting Missing

I set up this website through WordPress using Elementor for a friend. I thought I had transferred all username/password information to him. He reached out and stated that his website isn’t up currently. I checked with GoDaddy (who I purchased the domain through) and was told that the account is current.

I checked here and it states that we need to make a payment of $96 for WordPress Premium. Will making that payment allow access back to my PlugIns, Tools, etc…

It’s been so long I just do not remember the details.

The actual web address that is being used is: safelifeinspectionsinc.com

    Thank you.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

  • Hi!

I checked here and it states that we need to make a payment of $96 for WordPress Premium.

Hmm, I did a little digging, and my records show that safelifeinspectionsinc.com was not hosted with us. You might be getting an upgrade prompt about setting up a brand new site with safelifeinspections.wordpress.com and adding a custom address and other features to that. You would be welcome to do that if you don’t mind starting from scratch.

But paying for new hosting here will not restore what you had hosted at GoDaddy. I’d try reaching out to them first to see if they still have your files and data.

I hope this helps! That sounds like a tricky situation, so good luck.

I spoke with GoDaddy who the url was purchased through.

GoDaddy stated that it has been inactive since May 2020, but he did state that it shows on his end that it was built through WordPress. Can you please search for a site build for safelifeinspectionsinc.com

    Thanks

  • Hi @jlovephoto1,

The safelifeinspectionsinc.com domain has never been associated with a WordPress.com site, and I do see that that domain is parked with GoDaddy.

If your site was previously hosted with them using the open-source WordPress.org software, I suggest reaching out to see if they have a backup.

I hope that points you in the right direction.
