Setting Portfolio Showcase as Menu item (and change name)

  Hello,

  I’m realizing I want to use the portfolio tool to pot my projects as opposed to posting. Mostly because I don’t want dates to show up with my content.

  So, is there a way to make my portfolio showcase a menu item and change “Showcase” to something else…. in this case, “Audio Works?”

  This is a fairly minor astetic issue but if you have a suggestion, I’d love to hear it.

  PS – If there is a way to remove the date from posts, that would be even better…. the portfolio option looks nice but I’m sacrificing sort of slider on my front page to use it. Thanks!

  If you do this you’ll be shooting yourself in the foot SEO-wise. Search engines prefer dynamic content like posts over static content like projects and pages, so not using posts will probably mean you site will suffer in search rankings.

  Are you speaking of the post date that appears above the post title in the thumbnail image? That is a feature of your theme, and normally the only way to remove it would be by adding custom CSS to your site, for which you’ll need the custom design upgrade (in the premium and business bundles).

  However, as you have a premium theme I’d recommend you first ask in your theme’s dedicated support forum whether this option cannot be disabled without CSS. Your theme’s support forum is here: http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/bridger
