setting the date of a blog, sending contents by eMail
-
Dear WordPress,
I am on a sailing vessel and would like to send the contents by email. There is no way for me to use the internet in the middle of the atlantic. I know that this is possible, other sailors do ist. But I cant figure out how.
I am keepimg a travellog, but cannot always send the content on the day of edit.
is there a way to edit the date also?
If I send in the travellog of Sep 4th later (lets say on sep 6th), it will appear as content in the calendar on Sep 6th – however the content was created on sep 4th.
You know what I mean? Is there a way to edit this.Best regards, Sven Jakubith

Hi Sven,
You can use our Post by Email feature to send your blog posts via email. That feature also includes the option to set the date for a post:
It’s designed to allow you to schedule a post for the future, but you can also use it to backdate a post. For example, if you want to set the post’s date for September 4, you can add this to the bottom of your email:
[delay 2015-09-04]Please let me know if you have any questions about that. And happy sailing! :)
