I’d like to set up a blog. i have a domain a .com&co.uk name purchased via godaddy. i intend to attempt to build the weblog myself using wordpress software. Please help me chose the right options for me – transfer/not transfer domain name to wordpress, which package to go for (not business blog &not sure of how many visitors). Thank you

If you intend to build a website using the WordPress.org software then you’ll need to approach GoDaddy and create a site there.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

However, if you decide to build a site here at WordPress.com instead then you’d need a Personal plan or higher so you could map your .co.uk domain address to a WordPress.com site. (It isn’t possible to transfer a .co.uk domain to WordPress.com).

PS: There is no limit to how many views/visitors or bandwidth a site here at WordPress.com can have.

    Thank you themagicrobot.
    Is my understanding correct:
    1. Choose Map, not Transfer domain.
    2. Choose Personal Plan.
    3.Start building web blog.
    ?
    Thank you.
