Setting up a blog as a subdomain

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi – I currently have my business website set up on Squarespace and while I love it for a website, I’m not thrilled with the blogging aspect on the backend. I am familiar with WP and prefer it for blogging so I’d like to have a WP blog that is a subdomain on my main biz site (preferably the blog would be something like http://www.blog.stephaniecourt.com if possible). Is that something I can do without buying a new domain? What steps would I need to take to set that up (if you have a tutorial to share I’m happy to work my way through it).
Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Hi there,

It is possible to map your WordPress.com blog to a subdomain on your site (e.g. blog.stephaniecourt.com). To do so you need an upgraded plan (any plan other than the Blogger plan) and to follow those instructions:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/

If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.
