Setting up a navigation menu and posting blogs
-
Hello,
I have set up my navigation bar, but whenever, I pos blogs, they do not appear under the specified category, but when I click on the header, all the posts I have put on will then appear, stacked on top of each other.
Could someone please help me to set up the navigation properly, and let me know how to post with the relevant categories too.
Thank you
Beeniebuds

Are you talking about the blog linked by your username in the forum? You don’t appear to have any posts so I’m just getting an error message. Also you have linked to pages in your navigation. You want to try to use the Custom Menu feature so you can set them up as categories instead. Then when you add a post in a certain category it will automatically show up there. The only way to stop all your posts from showing on the home page is to use a static home page. Have a look through the reference pages, they’re very helpful.

First off, if this is the blog you are talking about, http://beeniebudsandco.wordpress.com/ , you have no posts. What you have created are static pages. Posts cannot be put on static pages. They sit outside the blog structure and are for things such as an about page.
First off, read this for the differences between pages and posts.
Next, read this article by Panos on how to organize your posts via categories.
Then after you have posts assigned to actual categories, you can add those categories to your top navigation. Do note that it will not show a list of posts in the top navigation. When someone clicks on the category in the top navigation, it will take them to the category page where all posts in that particular category are shown.
