setting up a non profit account based on a personal account
-
I have an website that was set up a thru my personal account that needs to be changed to allow others to access the account and help with modifications and updates. Since this site was formed we have also formed a non-profit group and the site needs to change from a private account to a group account without having to give out my personal log in name and password. We are also interested in updating our level of service thru your company and a direct domain name. but lets start with separating my site for joint use..
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @jjryan87,
That’s great to hear that you’re interested in upgrading and registering a custom domain.
What I recommend here is to create a new account on WordPress.com — something that would be owned by the organization. You can then transfer the site to this account, and upgrade when ready from the new site owner’s account.
For anyone who would like access to this site, they can sign up for their own free WordPress.com account, and the site owner can invite users to manage the site. This way, not everyone needs access to the main account, which is very beneficial in regards to account security.
I hope that helps and please reach out again if you have any further questions.
