Setting up a page like an archive page
-
I want to have tabs at the top of my front page, like the “About” page. But these pages would be actually be named the same as my categories, one category per page.
Then each of those pages would have a list showing the title of each post in that category. The titles would actually be links that would open the full post (like timethief does on her blog: one cool site). I would also like new posts to be automatically added to the page of the appropriate category.
I see other blogs doing this, but I can’t seem to locate the info on how to set it up.
Can anybody steer me in the right direction to the info in the support section?
Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Bingo! It worked.
Thanks again 1tess. I feel like pretty soon I’m gonna have to put on public note on my blog saying something like “Technical assistance provided by 1tess.” ;-)
Now I think I’ll try moving the page tabs around so they’re in the order (left to right) that I want them in, instead of alphabetical order. I think I saw something about that somewhere, but could be confusing it with changing the order under parent pages.
Anyway, thank you 1tess. Once again you have saved me tons of time that otherwise would have been spent searching for info.

@ panaghiotisadam: Thank you! It worked.
I am so impressed by how quickly people reply with the right answers to questions on this forum. I hope you know how much it’s appreciated!
@ billlcop: If you’re asking about my blog, I used the Vigilance theme. I then added the widgets I wanted from the widgets page. And then added my posts. As for making and moving the tabs at the top around, read the first part of this thread, it’s all there.

You’re quite right 1tess, but you’re the one that pointed me in the right direction.
I’m off now to post a thank you on Panos’s article. :-)

Ah, yes.
Like the expert who comes to your house, looks at your lifeless computer with all its peripherals, dark and dead, nods her head, reaches down, plugs the cord into the outlet, then charges you $500.
You say, “Any idiot could have done that!”
She says, “OK. 2 cents for connecting the power and $498.00 for knowing enough to get it done!” -
Hahahahaha………
I suddenly wish I knew how to put a laughing smilie in a reply. :-)
You about summed it up right 1tess.
