  Hi, I was looking into setting up a plan (the $4 one) and getting the free domain for a year. As I progressed it came up with the total of $48, is this all up front, or will it be $4 at the checkout?

  Hi there,

  poetscenters.wordpress.com is a free domain/address that you own from WordPress.com and you don’t need pay for the current domain.

  If you please help clarify, are you trying to own another domain for a new site?

  If you want a custom domain (perhaps to remove the .wordpress.com suffix in your current free address) then you’d need to upgrade your free site to a paid plan. Upgrades are charged annually in advance, not monthly.
