Setting up a simple blog isn’t so simple

    My first WordPress blog was 3-4 years ago and now I am trying to set up a second blog under the Starter plan. What I want is a dark backdrop with a large header upon which I can post a custom image, and a classic menu that says ‘About,’ ‘Home,’ ‘Contact,’ and I thought I had found a workable design in the Raw theme but then I accidentally deleted the ‘About’ on the header and my Appearance tab only has ‘themes’ and ‘editor,’ not ‘Menus’ or ‘Customize’ or other options. I want a very simple blog and it seems complicated to get one even under the Starter plan; I’m pretty sure my first blog Hemingway theme was free, and it had almost everything I needed. Any suggestions?
