Setting up a website

    Hi, It is not clear to me how this program works. I am not technically oriented but want to set up a WP site myself. I see that there is a charge for this program, what do I get for this? How do get started?

    Hello James,

    No worries! WordPress.com is oriented toward inexperienced users learning to build websites as they go, so you’re in the right place.

    I recommend this handy guide for getting started setting up a WordPress.com site. I would recommend beginning with the free account option until you’re comfortable with the platform, and you can see if you run into any features you want to use, but can’t on a free account.

    Once you have a feel for WordPress.com, and a vision of what your dream website should be, you can go to My Sites > Plan at any time to compare features and prices.
