Setting up a website without the wordpress.com ending
-
I registered my domain recently with Google and want to set up a website with wordpress, but I don’t see the option which will have the website address as mywebsitename.com — all of the plans show mysebsitename.wordpress.com. What should I be looking for?

Hi there!
Every site you create on WordPress.com will have its free subdomain, but you can also add the custom domain to it.
If you have a custom domain registered elsewhere and purchased one of our paid plans, you can use that domain as your primary address for your WordPress.com site. You can either map it – your domain will stay with the current registrar, and you’ll need to go to their site to manage anything domain-related.
Or you can transfer the domain to WordPress.com, and we’ll be your new registrar. This way, you’ll manage everything from one place, and you’ll be able to reach support with any domain related-issues :)
Here you can find more information: https://wordpress.com/support/domain-mapping-vs-domain-transfer/.
