Setting up an RSS feed to another site
-
I am a member of a writers’ group that allows for RSS updates of members’ blogs. I would like to put mine on the website. Do I set this up to happen automatically from my blog, or should there be a place within their (ning) website to pull my posts in? I can’t see how to do it at all.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just so I am clear, you are looking for the RSS feed for your WordPress.com site?
If so, we’ve got a support page for that:
If that isn’t what you are asking, please let me know!

Thanks. It’s not to bring RSS feeds in, but to set it up so that I can send RSS feeds to other people, particularly to the website http://scitalk.ning.com
(I am an approved member of that group).Mine shouldn’t be set on private, but I’m wondering if something is (how do I check that?) – or if it’s set up wrong somewhere, because I’m not seeing any options to do it.
Hope this makes sense!

There is nothing wrong with your RSS feed. We cannot, however, tell you how to set up the Ning site to pull it in, because we don’t do support for Ning. Presumably there are instructions in their support site?

This is the URL for your post feed: http://stargleam.wordpress.com/feed/
As Raincoaster points out, you might want to hunt for some instructions on Ning to see what they want you to do with the feed.
Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Thanks. I didn’t know whether I had to do anything on wordpress first, as I couldn’t see anything on the ning. At least this gives me an idea where to start, and that URL could be what I need. :)

If I had to make a guess, I would say that URL is exactly what you are going to need if you are trying to include your content from WordPress.com onto a 3rd party site of some sort.
Hope it all works out.

Thank you. I still can’t find where to put it on the ning site, but at least I’ll have it when I do. :)
