setting up email forwarding if my DNS is not wordpress.com
-
I get this message when I try to set up an email forwarding name:
This domain currently has custom mail servers defined in its DNS settings. This means that WordPress.com Email Forwarding is not available for this domain, and that you should manage your email with your email provider.
The email servers for this domain are:
mailstore1.secureserver.net.
smtp.secureserver.net.Is it possible to get an email (I’m looking to have one which is (email visible only to moderators and staff) even though I bought my domain name with go daddy. I do not have any email through go daddy.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I wanted it to be studio @ and then my domain. I don’t think I’ve set one up before though..

If your domain is oliviawalker.co.uk, e.g. the domain you’re using with WordPress, you should be able to enable email forwarding as long as you’re not using an external mail server (which you are).
I don’t have access to the WordPress DNS interface, but from my understanding you should remove your custom MX records from the Domain Management interface. This will allow you to then set up a forwarder via WordPress.
Just bear in mind that removing those MX records will prevent any other mailbox @oliviawalker.co.uk from receiving mail on your current mail server. However if I understand you correctly, you do not have any other mailboxes set up for that domain and it shouldn’t be a problem for you.
