Setting up email with Weebly – Staff Attention Needed

    Hello, I recently transferred my domain to Weebly from WordPress. I would like to add an email address to my account with Weebly, however as I understand I need to route the email account via WordPress. Can someone please assist me with this? I’m totally out of my depth! Thanks

    Hi there,

    Sure thing! You can use email service from another email provider (for example, if you can get email service from Weebly) with your domain that’s registered here. All we need to know are the email records for your email service, so we can add them to your domain. (You can also add them yourself, if you prefer, following our guide to Add Email through other providers.)

    Can you ask Weebly what email records you need to use their email service? You can send them a message like this:

    I want to use your email service with my domain asteradvisory.com, which is registered at WordPress.com. Could you please provide me with the complete MX and/or other DNS records I will need to enter on WordPress.com’s end, so that my email on this domain will work?

    Once you have those records, let me know what they are and I can help you add them to your domain here.

    Hello, I received the following message back from Weebly regarding my email set up. I’m not finding it very helpful! Google doesn’t provide any specific instructions for WordPress, unfortunately. Could you please assist me! Thanks so much.

    Sure thing! That’s just the information I needed to help with this. :) I added all of the records to your domain asteradvisory.com, so it’s all set to work with your new email. (It may take a few hours for everything to start working, so if your email doesn’t work right away you may need to give it a little time.)
