Setting up my blog?

  When I first started blogging I simply planned on doing it as a little hobby on the side, an every once in a while kind of thing, but since then I have fallen in the love with the blogging world and would like to continue. With that said I want to self host, own my domain and have the felxiblity and protection of having my own site, but I orgionally set up my blog as a free wordpress blog. I’m looking for advice on how to choose a host, and if I need to get the $99 plan?

  Here are a couple of recommended hosting providers: http://get.wp.com/hosting/

  If you’re referring to the $99 Premium plan, then no, you won’t need that. It’s only for sites that remain hosted on WordPress.com.
