Setting Up My Blog
-
Hi, I am studying a foundation art course and they have requested that I set up a blog to act as a portfolio of ”professional practice” and to show my work, research and reflection and visitis to galleries virtually or in person and reviews. I am trying to set up a very basic blog, with a menu bar including ”About me” ”my work” ”research and reflection” and ”visits” with work/posts falling under each category.
I think I have set up and I can see the 4 categories on my blog but when I tried to post a write up under ”my work” I couldn’t and it appeared under the ”visits” page/heading.
I’ve tried changing this post to a draft to repost it but there doesn’t seem to be anyway of moving it to a different location.
I would really appreciate any help with this, thank you!

Can you let us know what the URL is of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise. Thank you!

Pages are a form of content, like posts, so you can’t specifically assign a post to a page, but we do have two options:
1. You can utilize your categories. Each has its own archive page, like https://foundationartbychloe.wordpress.com/category/uncategorized/ and you can add those to your site’s menu: https://wordpress.com/support/menus/
2. You can create pages, like “Reviews” and “Discussions,” still utilize your categories, but add a Blog Posts Block to each of those pages: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/blog-posts-block/
