Setting up my domain on WordPress
-
Some time ago, I thought about moving my domain and blog to WordPress. I found that the learning curve was a bit steep and gave up. Now I would like to try it again, but when I log in to my account it tells me that the name is in use (it’s the one I set up months ago). When I type in the name (MarilynKelleyArt.Wordpress.com) it tells me that the author (me) has deleted it. Is there anyway to retrieve it again?

@marilynkelleyart – gone is gone forever – once a domain name here is deleted it is gone and can’t be recycled – that is why you had to click some many times on a “I know it is gone forever” – you can pick a name that is close or you can get a custom domain name and map it to a WordPress.COM blog here ( $ 17– / year ++ private registration $ 8– that is optional)
