setting up new blog

Hi
I recently set up a new blog and had a lot of problems – see https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/setting-up-new-wordpress-blog/#post-3363295
I now wish to set up a further blog and need to get this done this weekend but when I go to create a new blog https://wordpress.com/start/site-topic-with-preview it brings up my recent blog and I can’t see how to create a new one with a different title. I hope someone can help me quickly. Thanks, Sue -
Hello again, it sounds like a browser issue. Have you tried logging out and clearing your browser’s cache and cookies (which will also log you out of all other websites you may be logged into)?
If that doesn’t help, try visiting the page at https://wordpress.com/log-in?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.com%2Fstart%2Fsite-type while using an incognito or private browsing window. You will be asked to log in to your WordPressdotcom account first and should be redirected back to the new site set up process.
Let us know how that goes.

Hi again – so to update you (before I take any action that may be bad):
You may recall the issues last time. Rather than launch the private (don’r know how that happened) MatchaMentor, WP created a new public site. So WP now thinks I am continuing with the original private site. I am working on it but in my list of sites, it still shows the private MaM as well as the public one. Does this make a difference to your advise? -
I can see matchamentor.wordpress.com so that site has been launched thanks to Staff involvement, but it’s not possible to have both a Private (unlaunched) and public (launched) site using the same site address.
I’ve tagged this thread for Staff attention as they can see the back end of things. Thanks for your patience while they get back to you. Weekends tend to be slower in general.

Hi – it looks like it wasn’t finalised last time. Guessing the private site should have been deleted. I don’t want a private site – don’t know how that happened. Sadly, as a volunteer, the weekend is when I do most of my voluntary work. The new site is Bramcote & Stapleford Community Hub. I am continuing – hopefully, my work won’t be lost?

Hi Jennifer – I don’t know if action has been taken but I have managed to publish and showing correctly in my list – think it’s all OK – thanks.
Just trying to find how to make the home page the blog page. I managed it last time but can’t recall how and haven’t found it yet. -
Hi Sue, we’re around on the weekends — just we’re a bit slower :) You can set the home page to latest posts under My Site > Design > Customize > Front page. Pick Latest Posts and you’ll be set. Or, different themes sometimes have other options for that to get a specific style. You can just check its setup guide.
Or, you can edit the front page and add a “Latest Posts” block if you prefer. Let us know if you need more help!

Thanks – I managed it solo last time but sorted now. I am getting better with the blocks – managed to work out reversing image & text.
Thinking of others – are there any you tube tutorials? It would be helpful to have step by step instructions in short how to videos.
Anyway, I’m sorted for now.

Thanks Sue. We’ve got a bunch of videos, though many of them aren’t so block oriented. You can generally find them when searching for whatever you’re trying to do, via wordpress.com/help . We’ll be adding new videos for new processes soon.
