Setting up podcasting feed

I understand that there is a difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org when it comes to publishing podcast episodes. I already have a site with wordpress.com and I am wondering if I can set up a free wordpress.org site solely for the purpose of establishing my podcast feed. Is that an acceptable way to do it?

Unfortunately, while WordPress.org is free software, for it to function, you must install it with a site hosting provider. These are not free. There are a myriad from which to choose, but all require that you regularly pay a fee.
However, there is a way for you to publish your podcasts right here at WordPress.com! Super exciting, right? And even better, there is a support page already written that outlines, in great detail, how to set it all up. You can find that here:
