Setting up site
-
Hi so I’m working on updating my portfolio on WordPress. The domain is Mikebrest.wordpress.com. I was wondering how to set up the following. I’d like there to be five headers: 1) Published Works 2) Resume 3) Non-Published Works 4) About Mike Brest and 5) Contact Mike Brest. I’d like the Published works page to be the home page. Then for the Non Published Works section, I’d like it to be blog formatted, where they’d be multiple posts each shown with a teaser linking to the full post. Thanks for your help!
Please try to tell me how to accomplish this not just send me links to the overall help articles.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’d like there to be five headers: 1) Published Works 2) Resume 3) Non-Published Works 4) About Mike Brest and 5) Contact Mike Brest.
1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
2. On the sidebar of the Customizer click on the Menus > tab.
3. Click the Primary > tab.
4. click the Add Items button to add the five menu items.I see that you have already added the five menu items.
I’d like the Published works page to be the home page. Then for the Non Published Works section, I’d like it to be blog formatted, where they’d be multiple posts each shown with a teaser linking to the full post.
1. Go to My Site(s) → Customize(Beside the Themes option) or just click here: https://wordpress.com/customize/. This will open the site Customizer.
2. On the sidebar of the Customizer click on the Homepage Settings
3. Select “A static page” under homepage displays.
4. Select Published Works under Homepage dropdown and Non Published Works under Posts page dropdown. That should do the needfulHope that helps and let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
