Setting Up Slider In Sketch Theme – Issue With Tag Says "Nothing Found"

    Hello.

    I am using the Sketch theme. I set up the protfolio page.

    I am trying to get the slider to show up and display one protfolio item.

    Here is the item I want to get in the slider:

    1. It has a featured image
    2. I gave it the tag “Sketch”
    3. I went to the customize area and set the tag for featured content to “Sketch”

    The slider is not showing up.

    I notcied that when I go to the tag page for “Sketch” it says “nothing found” and I think that may be the reason the slider isn’t working either.

    Please let me know how to get the slider to work and how to get the protfolio item show up on the tag page intstead of “nothing found”

    Could you please try:

    – adding a second post, page, or portfolio with the tag “sketch.” The slider requires at least two items.
    – change the word “Sketch” to “sketch” (lowercase) in the Customizer.

    Let me know how it goes.

    Thank you for the reply and the help.

    Adding the tag to a second post worked and the slider now shows.

    Two more questions:

    1. Do tags not work with portfolio items?

    (I know the Sketch tag I made is hidden)

    But I added a new tag “video” and it says “Nothing Found” on the tag result page:

    Do tags only work with regular posts? (Because it does list “tags” under the portfolio menu)

    2. Is there a way to hide the date on the slider or exchanging it with other text?

    I added text to the excerpt area but that didn’t work to hide/exchange the date or show up on the slider.

    In Sketch, tagged posts, pages, and portfolios all work in the Featured Content slider.

    But I added a new tag “video” and it says “Nothing Found” on the tag result page:

    The tag archive above displays posts tagged “video.” Currently you only have one post, and it’s not tagged ” video” – that’s why it’s not displaying at the above URL.

    You also have a portfolio Project Type called “video” and you can see its archive page here:

    You can hide the date on the slider with this custom CSS:

    .featured-posts .posted-on {
  display: none;
}

    It’s not possible to add the excerpt there as that’s not information that’s output in the theme.
