Setting up the homepage

  Hello! I’m trying to set up my homepage for my site and I’m having a lot of trouble. I was hoping to have a navigation bar at the top with drop down menus listing my projects with the option to click and be taken to the project page. I’ve been tweaking things on my site and looking around the internet for a week now and I’m having no luck. I’ve found plenty of information on how I can get a navigation drop down menu with my ‘pages’ listed and linked-nothing for ‘projects’. I hope this makes sense! Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thank you.
