Setting up videopress on my wordpress.org site
-
Do I have to set up a new wordpress.com blog site to use videopress on my wordpress.org site? That is what it seems that it wants me to do.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes, VideoPress uses a WordPress.com blog as storage for the videos, so you’ll need to register for one to purchase VideoPress.
-
What is the relationship between the WP.com blog for VideoPress and my own site? How are they connected? Will I be able to use VideoPress on only that site?
-
The videos are uploaded and hosted via the WordPress.com blog’s file system. You’re then given an embed code which you can use anywhere, including your WordPress.org blog.
-
Can I set the WP.com site to be a behind-the-scenes resource that is otherwise dark on the Internet?
-
Exactly, that’s pretty much how it will work. You can even make the WordPress.com blog completely private.
