Hi I want to create a personal plan, £3/month, but it seems to want payment upfront before I can create the website and see what it looks like. Is this right? Also, I have an existing domain name with another website provider but want to transfer this to WordPress as well. Is this possible? Thanks

That’s correct, all WordPress.com paid plans are billed yearly or every two years and are paid in advance.
That being said, the Personal Plan offers no additional features in terms of design. You could build your site on a Free Plan, and then purchase the Personal Plan if you wish to do so.
Also, I have an existing domain name with another website provider but want to transfer this to WordPress as well. Is this possible?

That’s right. All upgrades and renewals can only be paid a year in advance.
